It is important to study anything from different cultures. Only learning about your culture creates ignorant people, every culture ties into another in any way. And learning in depth of another culture can bring light to things that people use that are based in that culture. Such as in Africa, you have their foods, braids/hair styles, and fashion, many people use those three generalized groups of things in other cultures but once you learn their history and origin you have a deeper connection with the exact thing you’re using.
