Answer:

x = 80, y = 40

Explanation:

Both triangles are isosceles, 2 congruent sides, so the base angles are congruent.

Triangle on left

base angles are congruent and equal to 50° , then

x = 180° - (50 + 50)° ← sum of angles in triangle = 180°

x = 180° - 100° = 80°

Triangle on right

base angles are congruent and equal to y , then

y =
(180-100)/(2) =
(80)/(2) = 40°

Answer:

x=80deg, y=40deg

Explanation:

Note that both triangles are isosceles triangles.

That means the right one has 2 angles y and 1 angle 100deg.

The sum is 180deg, so

180deg = 2 * y + 100deg

2y = 180deg - 100deg = 80deg

y = 40deg

The left one has one angle x and 2 angles of 50deg.

180deg = x + 2 * 50deg = x + 100deg

x = 180deg - 100deg

x = 80deg
