area of a Trapezium is 400 CM square the distance between the parallel side is 16 cm if one of the parallel side is 20 cm find the length of the other side​

30cm

Explanation:

area of a Trapezium = 1/2()a+b)h

a and b are the two sides

h is the height

Given

Area = 400 cm^2

a =20cm

h = 16cm

Required

b

Substitute

400 = 1/2(20+b))*16

800 = (20+b)*16

800/16 = 20 + b

50 = 20 + b

b = 50-20

b = 30cm

Hence the length of other side is 30cm
