Using the property of parallelogram; the parallel sides are equal in length

We have it that;

3x -7 = 2x + 9

3x - 2x = 9 + 7

x = 16

For the other side;

5y = 2y + 18

5y -2y = 18

3y = 18

y = 18/3

y = 6
