If ABC is a right-angled triangle at B, sin A + Cos C = 1, find: m (<A)​

Answer:

m < A = 30 degrees.

Explanation:

If we draw the triangle we see that:

sin A = BC/AC and cos C = BC/AC, so as sin A + cos C = 1 :

BC/AC + BC/AC = 1

Multiplying through by BC:-

2BC = AC

So sin A = BC/AC = BC / 2BC

= 1/2

- giving m < A = 30 degrees.
