How are ice and plant roots weathering agents?

This is like Freezing and Thawing The process that splits rock when water seeps into cracks, freezes and expands, causing pieces to break off. When roots of trees and other plants grow into cracks of rocks. The cracks are widened or made bigger as the roots grow thicker and denser causing the rocks to break apart.- Hope this helped
