Transgenic foods are a technology innovation that increases food production. Although this is beneficial for, there are still many controversies regarding the effects that these foods can have on the human body, since many of them are still being tested.
These controversies provoke complaints from parents regarding the use of transgenics in school lunches, who fear that children will suffer poor health in the medium and long term, in addition to not trusting that these foods will not harm the academic profitability of children. However, these concerns should not be encouraged, because although the lack of proof of beneficial effects of transgenic foods is true, children consume transgenic corn and soy based foods outside and inside the school.
Even in domestic food, corn and genetically modified soy are present, as well as being in the composition of most industrialized products and fast foods that children have so much access to in our country.
In view of this, we can confirm that it is correct that parents charge for more scientific research in relation to the effects of drug addicts, but it is incorrect to prevent schools from using these foods when they are present even in children's homes.
