6. Ellen was given 25 boxes of chocolate to sell for a club fundraiser. She sold of her boxes

during the first week of the fundraiser.
If Ellen sells 9 of her remaining boxes during the second week, how many boxes of chocolate will
she still have left to sell?

Answer:

6 Boxes

Explanation:

So, she has already sold 2/5 boxes of chocolate, so we just make 25 into 2/5.

5 x 5 = 25.

5 x 2 = 10.

So 2/5 = 10/25.

So, she sold 10 boxes the first week, and then 9 more the second week.

So, 10 + 9 = 19.

If she need to sell 25 boxes and has already sold 19, then you do :

25 - 19 = 6.

So, she needs to sell 6 more boxes!~~
