Answer:

w=66

Explanation:

w-19=47

Hey There!

So what we want to do is get the variable on one side (w) and the constant on the other

so essentially what I am saying is that we have to get rid of the -19 and to do that we have to add 19

but remember whatever we do to one side we have to do to the other

-19+19 cancels out

47+19=66

therefore

w=66

\huge\text{Hey there!}

\large\textsf{w - 19 = 47}

\large\text{ADD 19 to BOTH SIDES}

\large\textsf{w - 19 + 19 = 47 + 19}

\large\text{CANCEL: -19 + 19 because it gives you 0}

\large\text{KEEP: 47 + 19 because it helps solve for the w-value}

\large\textsf{w = 47 + 19}

\large\text{SIMPLIFY IT!}

\large\textsf{w = 66}

\huge\boxed{\text{Therefore, your answer is: \textsf{w = 66}}}\huge\checkmark
