Explanation:

(y1-y2) / (x1-x2) = slope

(-2,5) =(x1,y1)

(0,-5) = (x2,y2)

(5--5) / (-2-0)

10 / -2 = -5

y= -5x + b

plug in points for x and y to find b

5=-5(-2)+b

5=10+b

-5=b

y=-5x-5
