Explanation:

1) Find the slope, choose two values (I'll use (1,-2), (2,-6))

Apply the slope formula,

(first y value - second y value)/(first x value - second x value)

(-2+6)/(1-2)=4/-1=-4

2) Plug it in, we need to find the y-intercept now

y=mx+b (m=slope, b=y intercept)

-2=-4 times 1 +b

-2=-4+b

2=b

3)Voila

y=-4x+2
