6x - 3
First distribute 3 into the terms in parenthesis
4x + 6x - 3 - 4x
Combine like terms: 4x + 6x = 10x. 10x - 4x = 6x
6x - 3
This cannot be simplified any further without knowing the value of x, so 6x - 3 is your final answer.
I hope this helps :)
