To find the area of the two ends, you need to find the area of the inner circle, then subtract that from the area of the large circle.

As we know, A = πr²

The diameter of the larger circle is 1.8, so the radius is 0.9.

π(0.9)² = 2.54

The diameter of the smaller circle is 1.6, so the radius is 0.8

π(0.8)² = 2.01

2.54 - 2.01 = 0.53 m² (this is for one end)

0.53 x 2 = 1.06 m²
