Answer: x=7

Solution:

Writing out the problem,

6-6x=5x-9x-8

Solve for "5x-9x," which is -4x,

6-6x=-4x-8

Add 4x to both sides

6-6x+4x=-4x+4x-8

Since -6x+4x=-2x and of course -4x+4x=0

-2x+6=-8.

Subtract 6 from both sides of the equation,

-2x+6-6=-8-6.

Since 6-6=0 and -8-6=-14,

-2x=-14

Finally, divide both sides of the equation by -2,

-2x/-2=-14/-2

-2x/-2=x

-14/-2=7

So, therefore x=7.

x=7

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

x=7

Explanation:

6-6x=5x-9x-8

Combine like terms

6-6x=-4x-8

Add 6x to each side

6-6x+6xx = -4x-8+6x

6 = 2x-8

Add 8 to each side

6+8 = 2x-8+8

14 = 2x

Divide each side by 2

14/2 =2x/2

7 = x
