Two more than the quotient of a number and 5 equals 7.
Use the variable x for the unknown number.

2+ (x/5) = 7

You can also write it as (x/5) + 2 = 7

Explanation:

x/5 just means x divided by 5. (Quotient is the answer to a division problem!)

Two more than means plus 2 because you are adding 2 more.
