Answer: Andy is 20 years old
Let x be Andy’s current age
Andy: x
Emma: x+4 because she is 4 yrs older than her lil bro andy and we know this cuz their dad was 4 yrs older when Andy was born than when Emma was bro
Pat: 36+x cuz he is 36 yrs older than his son
x + (x+4) + (36+x) = 100
3x + 40 = 100
3x = 60
x = 20
So Andy is now 20 years old
Emma’s age is 20 + 4 so she is 24 years old
Pat’s is 20 + 36 = 56 years old
I hope this helps :)
