Answer: x= 1,

Explanation:

The quadratic equation is


x=\frac{-b+\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac } }{2a}

and


x=\frac{-b-\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac } }{2a}

So we just need to sub in the proper numbers from the equation given, in this case, it would result in


x=\frac{6+\sqrt{(-6)^(2)-4(5)(1) } }{2(5)}

and


x=\frac{6-\sqrt{(-6)^(2)-4(5)(1) } }{2(5)}

Once we get this we can either manually simplify or use a calculator, using a calculator would result in the answers

x= 1,
(1)/(5\\)
