You might have to retake the quarter of that class (depending on what class you failed). You shouldn’t get held back unless you fail the whole year. Also, if you do semesters, it will mostly lie on if you fail the semester rather than the quarter. If you do need to retake a class, I might suggest doing it during the summer (if that is an option)
