To make purple paint you must mix 3 cups of blue paint with 2 cups of red paint. Sally plans to use 9 cups of blue paint in her batch of purple paint. Which proportion could be used to find out how much red paint Sally will need to make purple paint?

Answer:

There will need to be 6 cups of red paint.

9 : 6

Explanation:

You tripled the size of the batch to make it nine cups of blue paint so then just mulitply 2 * 3.

Hope this helped. c:
