To make purple paint you must mix 3 cups of blue paint with 2 cups of red paint. Sally plans to use 9 cups of blue paint in her batch of purple paint. Which proportion could be used to find out how much red paint Sally will need to make purple paint?

There will need to be 6 cups of red paint.

9 : 6

Explanation:

You tripled the size of the batch to make it nine cups of blue paint so then just mulitply 2 * 3.
