Answer:

Explanation:

Perimeter of square will be equal to the length of the string

Perimeter of square = 28 cm

4*side = 28

Divide both sides by 4

Side = 28/4

Side = 7 cm

b) Area of square = side * side

= 7 * 7

=49 cm²

Answer:

7 cm and 49 cm²

Explanation:

(a)

A square has 4 equal sides , then

28 cm ÷ 4 = 7 cm

The length of each side of the square is 7 cm

(b)

The area (A) of a square is

A = s² ( s is the side length ) , then

A = 7² = 49 cm²
