8 mols of HNO3 ====> 4 mols of water.

In other words all you need do is divide the number of mols of HNO3 by 2

60 mols of HNO3 will produce 30 mols of water. If you have a teacher who is a slave to more formal ways of things,, then set up a proportion.

8 HNO3 / 4 H2O =====> 60 mols HNO3 / x mols water

8/4 ===> 60 / x Cross Multiply

8x = 4*60 Combine the right

8x = 240 Divide by 8

8x/8 = 240/8

x = 30
