However, it is important to consider that these diets limit the amount of carbohydrates which creates a risk of a malnutrition and also, they tend to limit dietary fiber and cut fruits and grains which can cause health concerns. Moreover, eating a high protein diet for a long time can result in higher acid loads for the kidneys and people can suffer different health conditions as a result of eating a lot of animal fat which are important things to consider when using these types of diets.
