Divide the compound object.
We have minor object and major object
Volume of object 1 = LWH
= 5 x 5 x 3
= 75 in ^3
Volume of object 2 = LWH
= 12 x 8 x 3
= 288 in^3
Add the volumes of both object
288 + 75 = 363 in^3
Therefore the answer is option D
