work out the area of a circle with diameter 1.8cm. Take
\pi to be 3.142 and give your answer in 1 decimal place.

Area of a circle is pi x r ^2

R = diameter/2

R = 1.8/2 = 0.9

Area = 3.142 x 0.9^2

Area = 2.5 square cm.
