Explanation:

$(2x - 6) (3)/(2) = 21 - 4x \\ \\ lcm = 2 \\ 2* (2x - 6) (3)/(2) = (21 * 2) -( 4x * 2) \\ \\ 3(2x - 6) = 42 - 8x \\ 6x - 18 = 42 - 8x \\ 6x + 8x = 42 + 18 \\ 14x = 60 \\ x = (30)/(7) = 4.286(2.d.p)$
