Explanation:

1) Rewrite x² - 9 in the form a² - b² where, a = x and b = 3.


\frac{ {x}^(2) - {3}^(2) }{ {x}^(2) - 3x}

2) use difference of squares: a² - b² = ( a + b ) (a - b).


\frac{(x + 3)(x - 3)}{ {x}^(2) - 3x}

3) Factor out the common term x.


((x + 3)(x - 3))/( x(x - 3))

4) Cancle out x - 3 .


(x + 3)/(x)

5) Simplify.


1 + (3)/(x)

Therefor, the answer is 1 + 3/x.
