1 squared=1, which is the same number

2/3 squared equals 4/9. 2/3=6/9. 6/9 is greater than 4/9

-3 squared equals 9. Nine is greater than -3

-1/2 squared is 1/4. -1/2=-2/4. 1/4 is greater than -2/4

5/4 squared is 25/16. 5/4=20/16. 25/16 is greater than 20/16
