A company sells widgets. The amount of profit, y, made by the company, is related to

the selling price of each widget, x, by the given equation. Using this equation, find out

make the maximum profit.

Answer:

Explanation:

y=x^2+83x-609

dy/dx=2x+83

d2y/dx2=2

Since acceleration is positive, when dy/dx=0, it will be a global minimum. Also since acceleration is a positive constant there is no maximum profit as it is always increasing.

Unless there was a typo in your equation...
