Hi

to progress in math, you must : know by heart the rules and formulas then train.

rule : a ( b+c ) = a*b + a*c.

this propertie is call distributivity .

so we have : 6 ( 9+5X)

here : a = 6

b = 9

c = 5X

so 6 ( 9+5X) = ?

I let you have a shot. Ask in comments section if you are stuck. But try first !

Answer:

1) rearrange terms:

6(9 + 5x) = 54

6(5x + 9) = 54

2) Distribution :

6(5x + 9) = 54

30x + 54= 54

3) subtract 54 from both side:

30x + 54 = 54

30x + 54 - 54 = 54 - 54

4) Simplify: subtract the numbers

30x = 0

5) Divide both side of the equation by the same term:

30x = 0

30x√30 = 0√30

6) Simplify: cancel term that are in the both numerator and denominator

x = O√30

solution :

x = 0]
