Answer:

Resultant is 50 mi/hr in the north east direction

Explanation:

Plane is traveling north east at 150 mi/hr.

Now a wind is blowing from the south west at 100 mi/hr.

Now, north east and south west are directly opposite directions and such the angle between the resultant speed of the plane in flight and the wind will be;

150 - 100 = 50 mi/hr

Since the north east speed is greater than the south east speed, then the direction will be north east.

Thus, resultant is 50 mi/hr in the north east direction
