What was life like for the families in the Nazi era during the years that they lived in the annex. Why did they choose to go into hiding here?

life for the Nazis was very terrible when they were in hiding. If they were found, then they would be dragged away in a concentration camps and separated from their families. It was a high chance that they would be killed just because of their religion Mitchell's to hide a Nexus because they had many other Jews living with them, so they knew that there would be little to no traitors in there. They all group together and stayed safe away from the Nazis, and alerted one another when a Nazi was near.
