Hence the expression for the total charge is

y= 55+0.25x--------------1

y= 45+0.35x--------------2

Equate 1 and 2

55+0.25x= 45+0.35x

collect like terms

55-45=0.35x-0.25x

10=0.1x

x= 10/0.1
