Ted and Carlos are selling cookie dough for a school fundraiser. Customers can buy packages of sugar cookie dough and packages of gingerbread cookie dough. Ted sold 13 packages of sugar

cookie dough and 7 packages of gingerbread cookie dough for a total of $135. Carlos sold 13 packages of sugar cookie dough and 11 packages of gingerbread cookie dough for a total of $175. Find the cost each of one package of sugar cookie dough and one package of gingerbread cookie

1 sugar cookie pack=$ 5

1ginger cookie pack=$10

Explanation:

13x+ 7y=135

13x+ 11y= 175

by subtraction

4y=40

y=10

substituting the value of y in any of the above equation

13x+7×10= 135

13x+70=135

13x=135-70

13x=65

x=65/13

x=5
