y = 2/3 x - 14/3


y = (2)/(3) x - (14)/(3)

Explanation:


y = mx + b \\ m \: is \: slope \\ b \: is \: y \: intercept

with point (-5,-8) & slope = 2/3 fill in and solve for b

-8 = (2/3) (-5) + b

-8 = (-10/3) + b

-14/3 = b
