Which of the following quotes from The First Men in the Moon Infers a theme of discovery?

"understood the Grand Lunar to ask why had I come to the moon seeing we had scarcely touched our own planet yet."

"And so, for a space, though something loath, I told him the story of earthly War." O

"explained that such autocrats and emperors as we had tried upon earth had usually ended in drink, or vice, or violence."

"From that I went on to tell him that mankind had dwelt in cities only for nine or ten thousand years, and that we were still not united in one brotherhood,"

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a wonderful question. Usually these things have 4 poor choices and you have to pick the best of the bad.

Not this questions. Except for A, they all answer the question. C and D both speak of our failure at trying to live together. They both speak negatively of our attempt.

B is in the same vein. We failed because our method of resolution was war.

I think the best answer is likely A. Why go to the moon when we had barely found out what was on our own planet. The sentence is about exploration.
