Explanation:

Area of a right triangle is its base multiplied by its height

Since the two right triangles are mirror images of each other we only need to focus on one of them and then multiply our answers by 2

since the base of the whole triangle is halved we will do so to its value as well:

`base=(11)/(2)`

we are given the height with the center line:

`height=5`

so to get the area of one of the right triangles we do:

`((11)/(2)*5)/(2)`

and since there are two of them we can take away that divide by 2 to get:

`(11)/(2)*5` which can be written as
`(55)/(2) ,\ 27(1)/(2) ,\ or\ 27.5`

now for the perimeter we just add up the outer most sides:

`2+2+11=15`

(btw these measurements wouldn't make a triangle but that is what is shown so I just went with it)
