slope = (change \: in \: y)/(change \: in \: x)


slope = (10 - 1)/(7 - 1)


slope = (9)/(6)

9/6 can be simplified to 3/2 (as you do 9 ÷ 3 = 3 and 6 ÷ 3 = 2)

the slope is 3/2
