According to the question, first we need to get the T.S.A. or Total Surface Area of the cuboid then dividing it by ₹ 0.25 we can get the cost. After solving the concept will be more clear.

Let's start :

  • T.S.A = 2(lb + bh + hl)

Here,

l represents length

b represents breadth

h represents height

Now, putting the values of all these we get

  • T.S.A. = 2(6 × 4 + 4 × 3 + 3 × 6)

  • T.S.A. = 2(24 + 12 + 18) m²

  • T.S.A. = 2(54) m²

  • T.S.A. = 108 m²

Now, we are given that cost of every square metre costs ₹ 0.25

So, for 108 m² it will cost = ₹ 108 × 0.25 = ₹ 27

Hence, cost of painting the rectangular box is ₹ 27
