One property of rectangles is that the diagonals of rectangles bisect each other, meaning 2 of JN is equal to JL.

We can form an equation off of this, 2(x+3) = 3x + 1 and then solve for x

2(x+3)= 3x + 1 First, distribute the 2 to each term in x+3,

the result should be:

2x + 6 = 3x+ 1 then subtract 2x from both sides

-2x -2x

the result should be :

6 = x + 1 subtract 1 from both sides

-1 -1

the result should be x=5

plug that into the equations and JN= 5+3, JL=15+1

The two correct options are

NM = 8 ( both of the diagonals are equal to eachother )

JL = 16
