4y-5=3y+8( opposite sides of parallelogram are equal)

or, 4y-5-3y=8

or, 4y-3y=8+5

.•. y=13

now,

x+12=2y

x+12=2*13

x=26-12

.•. x=14

Answer:

x is 14 and y is 13

Explanation:

{ \sf{(4y - 5) = (3y + 8)}} \\ { \sf{y = 13}}

{ \sf{(x + 12) = 2y}} \\ { \sf{x + 12 = 2(13)}} \\ { \sf{x + 12 = 26}} \\ { \sf{x = 14}}
