basketball or soccer. If 5/9 of the students chose basketball, what fraction
chose soccer?

2/9 students chose soccer because if on 7 out of 9 kids picked those two the other 2 don’t matter. then if 5 out of 7 kids chose basketball then only 2 out of the 7 kids are left. therefore the answer being 2/9 or 2/7
