the way they are explaining the problem doesnt quite make sence, but from what i can tell...

the volume of the cube is 1 1/4, i came up with this because i used the method of multiplying width by height by length

1/2 * 1 * 2 1/2 = 1 1/4

so if theres 8 half unit cubes per unit cube, then we can take the two numbers given to us and divide them by 1 1/4 or 1.25 in decimal

5 / 1 1/4 = 4

10 / 1 1/4 = 8

so your answer is B
