y = x^(2) + 24x + 144 + 43 - 144\\ = (x + 12)^(2) - 101

Vertex is (-12, -101)

y = -x^(2) + 8x + 9\\ = -(x^(2) - 8x + 16) +9 + 16\\ = -(x - 4)^(2) + 25

Vertex is (4, 25)
