2.3 + 0.02(x + 20) - 4.8 = -9
2.3 + 0.02x + 0.4 - 4.8 = -9
0.02x + 2.7 - 4.8 = -9
0.02x - 2.1 = -9
Add 2.1 to both sides
0.02x = -6.9
Divide both sides by 0.02
X = -345
