Explanation:

According to the given condition:

Let,tom's weight =x

Jerry's weight=y

So,

X=2y-6 ---(1)

X+y=102-----(2)

Put value of x from eq 1 in 2

2y-6+y=102

3y-6=102

3y=102+6

3y=108

Y=108/3=36

Jerry's weight is 36.

Put value of y in eq 1

X= 2(36) -6

X=72-6

X=66

So, Tom's weight is 66kg
