PLS HELP! What is the mistake made below in solving x2 – 12x + 10 = 0 using the completing the square method?

x2 – 12x + 10 = 0

x2 – 12x + (- 6)2 = - 10 + (- 6)2

x2 – 12x + 36 = 26

(x – 6)(x – 6) = 26

x – 6 = √26

x = 6 + √26

Everything is correct. But you forgot to add

x = 6 - square root of 26. The answer is

x = 6 + square root of 26 or

x = 6 - square root of 26
