first invert fraction of the slope from 4/1 to 1/4 and switch sign. then figure out the y-intercept

the algebraic approach would work like this:

-4x + 10 = 1/4x + b

plug in what you got, here: the intersection information

-4*(4) + 10 = 1/4*(4) + b

-16 + 10 = 1 + b

-6 = 1 + b

-7 = b
