Figure consists of three parts; one Triangle , one rectangle and a square.

Triangle:

Base = b = 13+9 = 22 cm

height = 16 cm


Area \ of \ triangle = (1)/(2)* b*h\\\\= (1)/(2)*22*16\\\\= 11 *16\\\\= 176 \ cm^(2)

Rectangle 1:

length = 14 cm

Width = 4 cm

Area of R1 = length * width = 14 * 4 = 56 cm²

Area of Square R2:

side = 8 cm

Area of square = side * side = 8 * 8 = 64 cm²

Area of shaded region = 176 + 56 + 64 = 296 cm²
