12 - x = 64 and y=116

Explanation:

For #11 they give you an angle (110) and they tell you that the two sides are congruent. If the two sides are congruent then the opposite angles are congruent. so x and the other missing angle are congruent. If a triangles sides add up to 180 we have to subtract 110 from 180 and divide that by 2

180-110=70

70/2 so x and the other missing angle equal 35

now to find y, well the angle equal to 35 and y are vertical angles so they are congruent with each other so x and y equal 35

For #12 they give you an angle (52) and tell you that two sides are congruent, meaning the opposite angles are also congruent. So for this one we do the same thing subtract 52 from 180 and divide that by 2

180-52=128

128/2=64 so y and the other missing angle in the triangle equal 64

to find x we look at y and see that they are supplementary angles so they will add up to 180 so to find x we subtract 64 from 180

180-64=116

so x = 64 and y=116
