a) Weight of the water:

  • 52 - 24 = 28 gm

Volume of bottle:

  • 28 gm : 1 gm/cm³ = 28 cm³

b) Weight of brine:

  • 56 - 24 = 32 gm

Density of brine:

  • 32 gm : 28 cm³ ≈ 1.14 gm/cm³
